Overview
The Charge Table course is designed to cover the set up of clearing and execution commissions using the Charge Table functionality on the RANsys system.

Who will benefit
The course is mainly geared towards those within your company who will be responsible for setting up and maintaining commission rates for clearing and execution in the system.
Objectives
To provide the skills and knowledge to maintain and troubleshoot the tabular commission set up.
What skills will delegates gain?
This course will enable participants to:
- Set up accounts to use Charge Table and the Standard Charges Groups.
- Set up commission exception groups by Class, Instrument, Ledger, and Currency.
- Set up Charge Classes in menu function Codes and allocate them to Instruments.
- Define Charge Codes and associate them with different commission methods.
- Identify and use commission methods available for clearing and execution commission, exercise/assign and delivery fees, and for reflecting brokerage onto a client account.
- Define reporting classes to allow a break down of commissions and allocate them to a Charge Code.
Define Charge tables for Classes of Instruments and Groups of Ledgers.
- Define multiple commission rates by executing broker.
- Set up Ledgers and Instruments so that commission is posted either upfront, on close or at month end.
Recognise the main commission analysis reports.
Prerequisite
None, but some familiarity with the Ledger and Instrument maintenance screens would be an advantage.
Follow on courses
Advanced Commission (ADVC). This course can be taken in combination with Static Data Management (SDM).
